This beautiful exercise in academic wonkiness warms my soul and brings light to the dreary city right now. It’s been noticeably quiet and tense, even with all of the political activity. The Library of Congress gift shop (arguments about commercialism aside) is not your ordinary place to put your money. Their playfulness along with a treasure trove of books of all kinds make it a place to forget your worries. It’s going to a good cause. We need our libraries more than ever.
